Eric Morgat – Savennieres Fides
Expressing aromas such as juicy yellow fruits, vanilla, exotic fruits and noble oak. It's a very natural expression of the Chenin grape grown on schist terroirs.
Appearance: Deep straw yellow with green reflections, developing into gold with maturity.
Nose: Intense, with notes of pineapple, pear, hone and minerals.
Flavors: Full-bodied with a mineral freshness. Nuttiness, candied fruit and spice often emerge with maturity.
Rewards : 2012 vintage was noted 18/20 in the Guide 2016 des Meilleures Vins de France. It is also recommended by bettane+desseauve.
As a medium-to-full bodied dry white wine, it complements a wide variety of dishes such as chicken with red Thai curry, grilled sea bass in a beurre blanc. zucchini blossom fritters … and cheese !
