Henri Germain et Fils – Meursault Chevalieres
The chalky Les Chevalières lieu-dit sits just above the village, right next to Les Rougeots, and regularly makes wines that could easily justify a 1er Cru classification.
Bright golden in colour. Big and powerful. A touch of honey/sweetness on opening, but tightened up and became a bit more tense and linear with time. White fruits on the nose. Plum. Stoned fruits.
Quite focused on the palate. Crisp. Not super reductive. Good density and full of energy. Very enjoyable.
Serving temperature: 11 to 13 °C.
