Jules Desjourneys – Chenas Jugement Dernier
Low yields (less than 15 hl/ha).
Very deep colour with seductive black cherry and blackberry nose, showing complex herbs and spices.
Very interesting nose – A wine that throughout its elevage has gone through cycles between completely open and completely closed.
Lovely volume, vibrant flavour – no fat, no depth of comfy texture. The flavours are also very reminiscent of the nose – but wide and with much openness. Super finishing. Great concentration and depth on the palate yet also shows freshness and good acidity, with lots of structure.
A really intense wine.
Serving suggestions:
Roast beef, lamb, pungent cheese, gratin.
Serving temperature: 13 to 15 °C.
