Domaine Pignier
Domaine Pignier was founded during the thirteenth century by the monks of Chartreux. Their cellar and vineyards were sold to the Pignier family as national property in 1794, after the French revolution.
The vineyards cover the slopes of Montaigu in the Côtes du Jura appellation area. All the methods; vineyard management and winemaking strictly follow Biodynamics principles and are certified by Demeter.
The wines age in oak barrels in the 700-year-old cellar from the Chartreux monks' times.
The three brothers and sister, Marie Florence, Antoine and Jean Etienne Pignier are today perpetuating their family tradition. They aim to develop their estate by producing first-rate wines and everything they undertake is governed by this quality principle.
