Jules Dejourneys Estate
« The Jules Desjourneys estate embodies one of the most unique and demanding approaches in the French wine industry. »
Driven by Fabien Duperray’s comprehensive and instinctive vision, this estate stands out both for the rigour of its work and the emotional depth of its wines. Here, nothing is left to chance: every action, every cultivation choice, every vinification process is guided by an absolute quest for purity, expression and authenticity.

The plots, located on some of the finest terroirs in Beaujolais and Mâconnais, are cultivated with almost obsessive care. The estate favours biodynamic practices, yield control, absolute respect for the soil and constant attention to the natural balance of the vines. The old vines, often over a hundred years old, are cultivated without compromise, producing grapes of remarkable concentration.
In the cellar, vinification is carried out with restraint and precision. The whites from the Mâconnais region are striking for their luminous intensity, mineral depth and crystalline length. The reds from Beaujolais, notably from Moulin-à-Vent and Fleurie, combine energy, verticality and finesse of texture, revealing an aromatic palette of rare purity.
Jules Desjourneys’ wines never seek to impress or take the easy route: they favour vibrancy, integrity and serene intensity. Each cuvée tells the story of a place, a light, an emotion. It is this ability to capture the essence of the terroirs and sublimate it that places the estate among the undisputed benchmarks of the wider Burgundy region.

it offers a magnificent nose of purity

and incredible length.
On a par with a Grand Cru.

Les Moriers
Once full-bodied and rather masculine,
based on the image we have
of the vintage, it is evolving
towards greater finesse,
smoothness, fruitiness and richness.

Fleurie
Chapelle des Bois
The aromas of flowers, citrus fruits
and apricot are explosive, and the tannins
are reminiscent of the most exquisite
and delicate lace.

Morgon

It stands out for its fruity intensity,
developing maraschino cherry notes.
Well-enveloped flesh, which develops
into a body that is both vinous and juicy.
